Lines of research

Structural Analysis and Continuum Mechanics
Development methodologies to resolve equations appeared in Structural Analysis and Continuum Mechanics. These methodologies are numerical and require a computer. The different fields of application within this line are: resolution of problems with compressible and incompressible flow, plate stamping, forging, industrial processes, composite material, structural elements, etc.

Responsible for the program: Prof. Eugenio Oñate Ibáñez de Navarra, onate@cimne.upc.edu

Advanced Structural Analysis with Numerical and Experimental Methods
Study of Continuum and Structural Mechanics using numerical and experimental methods, to apply over structures, components of machines, construction, automotive, transport and maintenance.

Responsible for the program: Prof. Francesc Roure Fernández, francesc.roure@upc.edu

Study of resistant elements and manufacturing processes using experimental and simulation techniques
Set-up of different numerical and experimental techniques for the sizing of structures and resistant elements.

Responsible for the program: Prof. Lluis Gil Espert, lluis.gil@upc.edu
